ParticipantAs said i’d buy the siemens at that price you really can’t go wrong. From what I can tell of the models I have here I think the Exxcel and Logixx are both german then the classixx and non-range named aren’t, they are the ones with the plastic base and not so solid feeling door. Strangly the slim line classixx has made in germany stamped on it though. I’d be looking from the Exxcell range, but the Siemens at that price is a no brainer.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WAA28165 -sealed drum?
As far as I was aware unless it’s branded Classixx, Exxcell or Logixx then it’s sealed. From what I can see of Uk models that means if it’s got a 5kg drum (like the one your looking at) then it’s sealed.
Please someone correct me if i’m wrongscarified
ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZDQ695X no heat
Thank you very much, will order that up now. Hopefully it’s no harder to fit than our old Bosch one years ago.

Oh yeah, am i right in saying it probably isn’t the thermostat as we would have just had uncontrollable heat coming out then?

ParticipantRe: Selling low end whitegoods, do you feel guilty?
Right after a memo coming out today about our new “bonus” structure it’s pissed me off enough now. I honestly don’t care what comes back on me now. I work at Currys and my pay has gone so down the pan form them changing bonuses i just want a better job asap.
As the only extra pay i can earn is by selling people a more expensive delivery serivce (and i only get £1 for that) i have just lost my cool now with how i describe machines, god help me if i get the next “mystry shopper”.This is currys version of that comet machine
It’s so funny because it just feels like it’s actually gonna come apart in your hands, when you apply any pressure on top of the top the thing feels like it’s gonna flex off in your hands.
An interesting read about Zanussi. Still the best of the worst or is there a better one?
I didn’t know that about AEG. I heard that electrolux are just sticking to built in when they change the range so that just leaves Zanussi. It’s so fustrating when you actually look at the choice of brands available. Someone high up has had an argument with Miele because we havn’t had any of their products in such a long time now.If I had it my way i wouldn’t sell any of the crap but I’d loose my job if did that 🙁
rant over, thanks for letting me get that out my system

For my sins yes. Hope you can understand I don’t want to say which one as i don’t want anything coming back on me.
I know straight away by admiting to where abouts I work thats looses alot of respect from some of you guys but I hope you understand I don’t want to be seen a box shifter muppet like most of em. And don’t even get me started on insurance sales, any one would think I got a job a direct lineBack on topic, Interesting reading. So basically as long as I explain in plain simple english why they shouldnt buy crap I shouldn’t feel guilty, lol seems fair enough.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Unfortunatly i’m not trade, Just a grunt on the front line getting hassle from a manager because i don’t sell enough insurance lol, need it with the crap we sell.
This is generally my recommendations so please correct me here to provide better customer service.Washing machines:
-£350 – Zanussi
£400-£600 – Bosch (Logixx) or LG (not sure on these but we havn’t had many problems.
£600+ – Miele (sorry we don’t sell ISE)I used to say AEG till i read some articles on here. Any one know anything about these new Panasonics yet?
Dishwashers
-£350 – Zanussi and dare i say it hotpoint
£350-£600 – Bosch
£600+ – Miele and the nice Bosch Logixx with the cuttlry tray, just because i like it 😀Dryers
I find this a hard one, i’d say indesit or hotpoint (same thing) then it kinda jumps up massively to your Bosch, Siemens and MieleRefridgeration
I hate this but
-£400 Hotpoint
+£400 AEG, Bosch, MieleCooking
I honestly can’t except Neff and AEG, Not had a hand on with Miele so unfair for me to say.How does that stand up to professional opinion on here?
