OK thanks for your help, do you know roughly how much a new motor costs?

After speaking to Hotpoint they have offered a repair/6month warranty for £20 a month, £120 all in and piece of mind/free repairs for the next six months seems like it may be a fair price.

Is that something that I can replace myself or is that an engineer job?

No it isn’t washing, the spray arms don’t rotate or spray.

No I just mean that it now takes around two hours for an error code to come on now.

For varying langths of time it will make sounds as if it is trying to work but it doesnt actually wash, sometimes the water is hot and sometimes not.
