Hi – it all appears to be ok and closes properly. We’ve been all over the machine and it appears as normal. Kids cannot close the door too heavily as it is upon the washing machine, so has not got damaged.
There really does not appear to be any issue, except that it will not start!

Thanks loads. I’ll order it this weekend. Bulb came out like any other normal household bulb! Even being a girl I could work that one out without having to RTFM 😉

Fiona – I’m new to this so hope that my replying is ok with the site. I just found the web site http://www.freecycle.org/ where you register and then offer goods – any goods – to anyone that wants to collect. It must be free though and the turnover of goods appears to be very quick. Might be worth a shot as I know the feeling of not wanting to scrap something that someone else may need/find a use for.
