There are faults that can stop this machine from advancing, such as faulty fill valves, heater, breaks in wiring etc, but they will not slow it down, it will stick and not advance at all. The main causes of excessively long programme times are poor fill pressure, and possible drain outlet faults. The timer moves at exactly 60 secs per impulse except when the machine is heating. Excluding the Prewash setting there are 50 impulses during a normal wash cycle, the water is heated to 65° or 50° depending on programme selected. On the Superwash setting this can occur three times during a full cycle, leading to long wash times. Whilst three hours is a bit on the long side, have you actually timed this accurately. Generally, if this machine is going through to the end of the cycle and finishing the programme then it is not faulty.

Cheers tor reply. I had agood look at it over the weekend. Unfortunately it now sticks on normal wash and will not advance at all without manually turning the timer. Water pressure is good and drainage is good.
