The later timers supplied to these are from a different manufacturer but the terminal numbers are the same, just in a different position. There are only about ten connections to change on these timers.

If you are absolutely certain that it is filling, washing & heating correctly then
it really needs an engineer with a timer sequence chart to determine exactly what components are involved when the machine sticks.

When you click it into the drying cycle does it complete the full drying cycle or do you have to click it to the end?

This machine is technically a very simple machine as dishwashers go, but from this distance there is only so much guess work that one can do TBH.

Hi I always have to click it on to the endin order to finish drying cycle!!

When it sticks is it actually doing anything or does it just stop with a faint buzzing noise?

    Jim.

    Hi Jim
It keeps running and I usually click it on maybe 2 clicks and then it completes the wash to between 5 and dying mode, then I have to click it on again. Would something be hindering the timer from going around.
It does wash the dishes well but you have to sit with it. Sort of defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher.

It is very unlikely that both the timer and heater would fail at the same time. In fact the only heater I ever changed in one of these had been worn away by the lower spray arm, very rare for them to fail.

By far the most common cause of no heat is a small break in the wiring harness, at the point where it goes under the door.

Whilst not wishing to denigrate anyone I think you need a second opinion. 😉

TBH I had to write one of these off today, the whole of the wiring harness had become brittle and had several breaks, I did repair it in this area about five years ago but it is to far gone now and a full harness is not now available. 😥

    Jim.
    Thanks Jim
There is no problem with the heating. In fact it washes great. I think the engineers were trying to fix it by process of elimination!!It seems to me that the timer just sticks. The old timer did exactly the same. I wonder if it is wired properly!
