Getting about 23ohms through the motor and no short to earth.

I have noticed something though: the Electrolux part number on the PCB Zanussi supplied isn’t an exact match for the one I removed:

    Out
    In

It’s physically the same and shows the same “boot ver” on the software side but could the different part number mean they’ve actually sold me one not programmed correctly for this machine? Their site assured me it was the right part…

    Yup.

See here for a short video of how it’s behaving: https://youtu.be/1XEqCbGJhVU

Yes, I was worried that something had blown the chip on that board, but the new one is in there and there’s no smoke coming out of it yet…

Assuming that the connectors adjacent to that chip are related to it, yes the wires do go down to the door interlock.

Appreciate your help on this, btw!

    Edit:

Just pulled the door lock out (it felt slightly warm tbh?) and the plug on it is showing some scorching. I thought I might have found a smoking gun, but the wires back to the board are still only showing 0.1 to 0.2 ohms and the door does lock.

That’s J1 on the left and J2 on the right. The chip that’s blown up is TYACS2

The damage to the frame of the connector was me when I was dismantling it, they were on effing tight and since I was chucking the board I didn’t bother being too gentle with it. It’s possible I broke a connection in the plug while doing this perhaps, I may bell the wires out if I can find a circuit diagram.

No, but this is the damage on the board if it helps:

    I fitted this part: https://shop.zanussi.co.uk/laundry/washing-machines/electronics/configured-electronic-ewm-2500/p/973914604322029
To a ZWD14581W1 (914604322 02), this was the part the Zanussi site said was compatible.

The start button isn’t flashing any code and there are no errors on the panel.
