    To hit +5ËšC it’s not cutting the compressor in due to a misreading of the temperature, which would point to either a stat, thermistor or PCB problem or, it’s the compressor overheating and restarting once it’s cooled off. At least, that’s the only two plausible reasons I can think of.

    That said, I’d not be thinking it was a misreading if it’s back on and getting back down to -18ËšC. It’s too big a variance and also, normally, when one of the other components chucks it then you’d get it doing one thing or the other, cooling too much or not at all.

    Is the freezer reaching +5ËšC or -5ËšC?

    It is possible that there’s a fault with the evap fan or ice blocking it, I’d be looking there first but it is a bit of a strange one. 😕

    the freezer goes from +5 to -18 its up and down like a yoyo
