    Will take onboard what you have said and also do a few more runs with various levels of dirty contents, will also flush it out and try without any powder or tablets.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Let me tell you what I found, I stopped the machine during the wash cycle to check the water level and noticed that one of the 4in1 tablets was not completely disolved. I also noticed that there was still residue of foam in the machine when the rinse cycle had stopped.

    I discussed these issues with my daughter (its her machine) and thought it could be because we had run the machine with a tablet in place but no dirty dishes for it to wash.

    She assured me that she had always used the same tablets for the last 12 months or so with no problems. She uses no salt, we are in a soft water area.

    I’ll do a further live test using just powder or even a dummy run with no powder to see if that solves the problem.
