ParticipantRe: Zanussi DCE5655 compact leaking
I thought I’d let you know the outcome of this problem in case anyone else is having the same.
It was the pressure switch sticking, a mate took the casing off and blew down a pipe and its stopped leaking.
I should have been more patient as I’ve now got a brand new Bosch coming on Wednesday. :rolls:

Sorry I know I’m going on but I’ve watched it go through another wash and it only leaks badly for matter of seconds when it fills for the wash, it then drips for a while but when it fills for the rinses there is no gushing leak.
Unfortunately you don’t have a repairer in my area and Zanussi are going to charge me £50 + VAT to tell me whats wrong with it, if its the PCB it could cost another £100 on top of that 😯 again plus VAT.
Please can someone advise my best course of action.

A little more information that will hopefully help. The machine seems to be overfilling and leaking badly for a few seconds until it stops filling it then drips for a while as it goes through the programme. Its washing as good as usual.
Please can someone advise if this is economical to repair or should I just get a new one. I’m in Kent TN24 if a there is a service engineer close enough.
Many thanks.

Thank you so much iadom, I had a feeling it was of some age but that surprises me as its still going strong. It was given to me by an elderly lady many years ago now and although I don’t use it often, its been handy to have.
It was my 9 year old grandson who wanted to know all this after I got it out the other day, he’d never seen one before. 😆Many thanks again.

ParticipantRe: Help please flooding Zanussi DCE5655
Many apologies for not returning sooner but I’ve had flu. 🙁
Anyway back to the machine. I think it must have been just a blockage because after bailing it out and wiggling down the hole with the bit of cable it seems to be working OK again with no further flooding.
The last one of these which I dealt with was also run away fill and it was the pcb at fault. £100 part on a £150 machine
Penguin please could you let me know where I can get another machine for £150 as my Mum would like one and I paid nearer £300 for mine. 😯

ParticipantRe: Dirty Dishes
Thank you iadom
I’ve looked through those 😯 and having cleaned everything and checked which detergent she’s using (Fairy melts) its looking like it might be a more technical fault like a dirty sump maybe?
As the outside door skin got cracked when they moved perhaps its time to think about replacing it. 🙁

ParticipantRe: Re-hinging doors
Thanks Penguin45 the one we have now doesn’t fit the holes if you invert it, it seems too short to hold the door anyway that way round.
Please can you tell me if that part number is a modified reversible one, I’m looking to hang the door on the left as you look at the appliance also please have you any idea of cost including P&P and time frame, I’m in such a muddle here with doors off and all the food down the road 😥

ParticipantRe: Samsung J1253GW washing machine
Thanks again Martin, I spoke to them this morning and they are saying that it can’t be anything to do with a fault on the machine that its an installation fault and that they will charge an extortionate amount to come out if there isn’t one.
I just need to know if it is possibly a fault or are they right?
I seem to remember a friend having similar problems and it was something to do with the suspension of the drum and it was a fault, well I think that’s what she said it was 😳

ParticipantRe: Samsung J1253GW washing machine
Hi Martin, The machine had already been out to a customer and been used the transit bolt holes have plastic caps on that I’m having difficulty removing, could the bolts still be under them?

ParticipantRe: Samsung J1253GW washing machine
Yes Martin, the machine was a shop soiled model so arrived without the bolts in place, I was wondering if delivering it without these bolts could have damaged something maybe?
