Re: Samsung RL37LGIH – Thermal Fuse Blowing

I turned the fridge freezer on and thermal fuse has now blown again! Had over 3 hours when the freezer was warm. Freezer then went cold , but the thermal fuse is now blown again. Any ideas what else this could be? I tried a replacement main board with new fuse and same thing…fuse blew.

    Hi Bob,

Ordered a new fuse. Cable tied in place. Would you please be able to confirm that this is the correct placement before I switch on? I was thinking perhaps I now have it to close and it should possibly sit in between the two top coils, almost suspended and instead of the current configuration (as pictured), I add a cable tie at the end of the middle coil, so that is sits in the middle between the top and middle coil rather than where I have it pictured. Would that be the more appropriate position?

    Thanks very much!

    Thanks very much Bob.

I will order a new fuse, cable tie it in place and post a picture for confirmation of correct placement before powering up if you wouldn’t mind advising!

    Cheers

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for the advice. Would you mind if I posted a picture of the current location of both the thermal fuse and the defrost sensor over the next few days and could you please advise me if in the correct location currently?

Thanks Bob, when removing the thermal fuse, I ensured it was in exactly the same place as original one that I removed…so still a little confused. Any idea where the defrost sensor is on this model?
