I’ve connected a standard hose and the machine works fine so it looks as if it some element of the AquaStop system has failed. We hadn’t moved the machine, it just stopped working.
I’m a bit stumped really because the fact that there is a resistance measurement would seem to indicate that there isn’t an electrical problem with the hose. The fact that there is an electrical signal being sent to the hose when the machine wants water seems to indicate that the flood switch hasn’t tripped and is working normally. I am guessing that there is a mechanical problem with the valve in the hose but I’m not sure I want to risk paying £70 for a new one to find out.

Okay, with the machine disconnected from the electrical supply and the plug to the AquaStop hose disconnected, I probed the two wires going to the AquaStop valve. In continuity mode the meter gave me a reading of 174 (Ω ?) with no buzzer and in resistance mode the reading was 136 Ω.
Does this mean it is okay? Sorry but my electronics knowledge is somewhat limited but it seems that there is continuity.
I think that I’ll try to get hold of a standard hose and try that as well. I’m more at home with the more mechanical approach to solving problems, I think.

Thanks, I’ll try this when I get home tomorrow.
Was it the AquaStop hose at fault in your case?
