    Re: F & P GW701 Fault code 214 “11010110”

Thank you all for your help! I tried another solenoid set that a friend had lying around and it works.

I never get those two beeps……..
I do get the fast and hold light on though. Thank you for the tip on manually forcing each solenoid too.

I became pretty convinced that it was the solenoids once I measured 12v flat or constant; but had the slowest dribble going.

It is good to know that the computer stores the fault during power down, thanks.
I guess now I have to pay back and help a few others!

I might try tricking the OOB switch and see how my machine’s diagnostics handles this.

Thank you. I was mostly looking for permission to get a new solenoid valve set.

With the diagnostic though i wonder if this is working right.

    Phase 1 + 2 machines
    Models: GW500, 600, 700. MW050, 060, 650, 070. GW501, 601, 701. MW 051, 061, 071, LW015.

Hold “Wash Temp Down”, then press “Power”. Wait for the two short “beeps”, then press “Advance” once only. Toggle the “Spin” buttons until “Hold” and “Slow Spin” lamps are lit.

If there is a fault, it will now be displayed on the wash lamps across the top of the control panel.

I do the above but when the machine stops and beeps I hold “wash temp”down press power, while still pressing temp down but the machine turns off at this point. Does this mean I have lost the fault? I then turn it on by holding down the wash temp down buttton and power. it turns on with no beeps (you said to wait for two) I then push advance once and toggle the spin as per your instructions and 214 is what I get. But the machine did not beep twice, and turns off, when I push power while holding the wash temp down.

Whew! have i done something wrong?
