Update: Brand new inverter from Siemens has fixed the problem. The “tested” item from eBay was also faulty and the seller is refusing to refund my money. Perhaps there’s a lesson for others purchasing “tested” electronics.

Hi. I replaced the inverter with a “tested” item off eBay. But it was worse than before, this time it shut down immediately I switch in the microwave. I refitted my old unit and the original fault returned. I’ve decided to buy a genuine item from Siemens. It should be delivered this week.

Thank you. The part number is F606YBH2. I’ll look around for an alternative part. I’ll ensure I take precautions prior to removal.
