    Hi Don,

Thank you kindly for your help.
I have just sent Dave an email so hopefully he can find me a replacement bulb that won’t cost the earth!

    Thanks again.

    Hello,

Well, I ordered the bulb that you suggested but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be the right size. It looks like the bulb I need should be about twice the length with a longer screw fitting than the one that arrived today.

Do you have any more suggestions please?

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for looking.
The fridge is an under counter fridge with no freezer compartment.
I have googled all sorts of things and even through Whirlpool could only find the 104 not the 103 (maybe a newer version, not sure) and the bulb for that is a silly price as you say!!
I tried to call the helpline earlier (at a silly price per minute but couldn’t even get on to the hold system so gave up!)

    I will keep looking…

Hmm, I have only got one place for a bulb in my fridge. I think it is a candle shaped bulb as that’s the shape of the housing it needs to go it.

    Thanks for your help.

    Right,
I have cleaned the condenser but to no avail.
I have downloaded an instruction manual and the instructions for changing the water conductivity refer to a “gentle” button – I don’t appear to have one on my machine!

Any more help would be gratefully received before this all singing all dancing machine costs me an arm and a leg in engineer call out fees!

    Cheers,

    Hi K,

Thanks for that link, it looks quite straightforward so might go and do it now!

    Hmm, instruction book….
Sounds promising though if I can turn off the sensitivity – I thought it was a really good idea but it is trying to be too clever and now I need to outwit it somehow!

Cheers for the advice, hopefully I’ll be able to find the instructions this weekend and sort it out before it does my head in!
