Re: Hoover HF40R – Power light on, but nothing else works

OK I replaced the board and nothing changed, so had an engineer come and look at it. He also suspected the board, or possibly a temerature sensor at the back of the freezer. The board was sent back for testing and returned as being ok, and the temp sensor was replaced. Now, the defrost heaters come on and just seem to stay on – they get way too hot. My engineer is now going to source a wiring diagram and see what he can work out from there. The model is actually HF41R not HF40R.

Anyone have any ideas what on earth could be going on?
