have not tried cleaning it up yet, pressed the wrong button when reading the threads. is cleaning it an option worth trying? failing that, is it a replacement motor? or could it be something else like the cut-in switch?

Re: Bosch Oven HBN9351GB/01 Cutting out problem

When we switched it on, there was a faint humming (like you normally hear), and a very small amount of airflow through the top vents, but hardly any. when i took the back off the oven (after switching off at the mains) and spun the fans by hand on the top and bottom, the bottom one kept spinning noticably longer than the top one, but it was still smooth if not as free flowing. Does this sound like the fan motor then, or possibly the cut-in switch? is it possible to take the fan motor apart and clean it up?

Re: Bosch Oven HBN9351GB/01 Cutting out problem

Thanks for the responses. Does it definately sound like the problem is with the motor fan assembly. i had a similar problem with an AEG oven a year or so ago, and it was just a small sensor on top of the oven that kicked in the fan motor when it got to temperature? The oven belongs to my in laws and i do not want them to buy a whole motor assembly if it is a sensor? any further advice is greatly appreciated. thanks 😉

Re: AEG Built Oven Keeps Cutting Out

OK really sorry, next time i will do a better search on other peoples problems.

I have looked at the post under ref: 8996619267611 and hey presto have found the culprit.

The little plastic cut out thingy looks like it has burnt out. I am no expert, but even i know it should not look burnt on the outside. I asume this is the reason why the cooling fan on the top of the oven is not running hence why it heats up and cuts out. I will order the new part and fingers crossed that shoud fix it.

What a wonderful website, thanks to everyone who has posted the advice and solutions to the problems.
