Thanks Penguin45. With the luck I have had this month I thought it was going that way. I just had to pay £500 for a reconditioned cylinder head for my wifes car.

Hi Penguin45
Well I got the new pump, fitted it and nothing happened. The same lights came on and no water drained etc.
Any ideas?

Hi again Penguin45
I should have said that I took the pump off and it seemed ok. I took it off again today and manualy moved it with a screw driver and it seemed ok. I also made sure that there were no blockages in the pipes/filters.
I still have a non functioning dish washer. with error code 6. I am beginning to think the bit of glass I got out maybe jammed the pump and it could have burnt out. I think I will have to buy a new pump. Do you know a good online site where I cold look for one?

I opened up the bottom panel and took some of the rubber hoses off and checked that everything appeared to be OK. I then reassembled and put some water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I tried holding the program button down for 5 seconds and then closed the dishwasher door. I then had error code E6 come up. What do I do now? Help!!

Thabksfor the reply Penguin 45.
I have tried this but the drain pump does not come on. I have emptied the water out ot the machine. Should I put some back in to activate the drain pump?
