    Sounds like its the timer. Remove two screws on access cover below timer knob. Remove timer cap( thin blade screw driver) slip out clip remove two screws and timer will be loose. two screws at top of dryer removes the front plate.You can pull of grey plastic cover that wraps around the timer and you will possibly see black flash/burn marks around
    the cam contacts its always the neutral side that blows.As a temp repair you may be able to file the burnt part of the contacts this should keep it working for a few washes Maytag part no 33001733 for timer.

    Time to earn your money by dragging it out .

    I would check all the condensor unit system for a big soggy
    lump of fluff .
