ParticipantRe: Hotpoint washing machine not filling
Hi Everyone,
Pressure Sensor, arrived yesterday afternoon whilst I was at work, took about 2 minutes to pull the machine out, open the lid and carefully replace it.
Placed the plug back into the socket, switched it on, and hey presto it whirred back into life. Sooo pleased that I saved £100/£170 by not getting Hotpoint to send the engineers round.
It’s now time to send a formal complaint to Hotpoint to request why their machines fall apart after a year and a bit and ask them for a refund of my costs to fix their shoddy workmanship.
Stay tuned, for developments.

Good advice, thanks, will definitely not do this with the replacement once its arrived.
just for interest, pre and post blowing made no change to the results as I tried all sorts of things and wash cycles to see what would happen.
fingers crossed.

I have the same machine and same issue with F05. as Liz48
In fact my machine (17 months old) was working perfectly when i decided for the first time to check open the round thingy at the bottom, a few shirt collar plastic bits came out and a small amount of water, closed it all up and then started the machine a few days later (yesterday) and almost nothing apart from water extraction at start and then sits like a lump of metal with a timer.
I’ve pretty much done exactly what Liz48 did even in the same order including blowing into the blue pressure switch (code 16002692101 – product code C00289362) which I understand you should not do (point taken about no clicking sound on this one)
Machine seems to spins fine and continues to cycle to the end where no water is required (10 / 37 minute cycle I think), the only issue is that it sometimes takes ages for a small amount of water to come into the machine, the drum rolls a few times, and then the water is pumped straight out, and a short time later, the F05 error pops up.
No hose issues as i blew through all the pipes and used the waste pipe directly into the sink to see if any blockage existed, so that wasn’t the problem
I’m guessing I should invest in a replacement water pressure switch and hopefully this may cure it? being a BH i’m not going to get one until at least Wed/Thu next week.
For info I called Hotpoint first, said I could pay £120 with 90 day warranty or £15.99 over 12 months (£190.80) with 12 mths warranty, for engineer visit, politely declined, especially as you can buy a new one for £250 from Currys and pick it up straight away.
If the advice is get the switchh, I’ll feedback once I’ve replaced it to see if this cures the problem.
Thx for any feedback
