    Big Thanks Iadom – I was watching one on EBAY but will Not buy a sealed drum unit – thanks for the brand advice – what about the Fagor brand 5 year warrenty — any good ?

    Thanks Iadom for you help much appreciated – like I say the part supplied is identical to the orginal (yes part supplied in an Indesit wrapper)

    So would I push down the metal plate first and when fitted the new part into the 6 slots try and pull it back up right with something..

    Thanks guys for all your help..
    Narrowed it down to the power cable – (yes after stripping it down !!)
    It took me an hour to put it all back together – I think the chinese put about 5 together in an hour !!

    Big thank you -Please tell me if correct

    I have tested the switch with the meter and get a make and break connection – thus what you expect from a switch – please tell me are they just simple switches or do they contain thermal cutout/overload bits.

    Not checked much still under warrenty – but you were spot on with the connection – I found the live feed from the mains sput had come loose.
