No I haven’t, is the interlock something I can easily access or would you recommend I simply call an engineer?

OK 🙁
Checking the manual its actually normal for the wash and door lights to come on at the start of the program so not sure what the issue is, the machine just does not start washing.

Thanks for replying, is the interlock something I can easily access or would you recommend I simply call an engineer, or at this age look for a new machine (it does make quite a bit of noise now while spinning) ?

I note the salt reservoir is full of water…. never used it, only used tablets.
The matrix on the left hand side of the machine is very dirty at the top, is the matrix easy to remove to clean? It looks as though the fill blue hose would be easy to remove but the other two hoses at the bottom of it are held on with black rubber connectors, how is it best to remove them?

I’ve checked the base pan and it appears dry.
I tipped it back but nothing came out. The microswitch linked to the mushroom flood sensor appear to work ok testing with my test meter.
Also no water is being allowed into the machine, I have the left hand side off and can see there is no movement of water coming in.

Ok, I have fitted a new control module and the machine has sprung back into life but its stuck trying to continuously pump out – if I pour water in it does pump it out fine.
I have tried the front panel reset sequence but this makes no difference apart from setting the program time to 0 which it should do.
So is there any magical reset sequence I need or anything obvious I can check, I’m presuming the control module burn out may have broken a sensor somewhere?
Any help appreciated

Hi Chaps,
Thanks for your replies, are the rinse aid sensor (reed switch) and detergent draw actuator (wax plug) something I can test for failure with my test meter? The yellow cables go to both of these but I guess its only likely the actuator may have caused the failure as it draws significant power to activate?
Cheers.

Thanks,
Well, it looks like the blown track may feed back via 4 yellow cables which go to the rinse aid and detergent door release mechanisms.
For the detergent door release there is a plunger that when activated would move outwards and press against a spring loaded release mechanism. I removed this plunger mechanism and I notice its very hard to get the plunger to extend outwards, is this normal?
If anyone could advise on this question I have asked I would really appreciate it:-
can control modules blow on their own or is it more likely something else caused it to blow? If something else then I’ll probably just buy another dishwasher…

OK, you have lost me there, cannot find alternator valve on the bosch website. Would you expect this to being driven while the dishwasher is on its delay timer?
In your experience can control modules blow on their own or is it more likely something else caused it to blow? If something else then I’ll probably just buy another dishwasher…

OK, an update.
Took the machine into the garage and it powered on – the fuse for the socket in the kitchen had blown…
Held down the two reset buttons and it pumped out the remaining water.
It was then stuck on displaying zero on the LED display and the rinse and salt LEDs are lit (as is usual as we use tablets), could not get it to start a fresh cycle or react to any button presses. Left power disconnected etc. but still same issue.
So, decided to dismantle and removed the control module and it appears to have blown, there is a complete track gone on it and black scoring on the plastic.

It looks like this is a £72 part – my question is, could something else have caused this to blow and if I replace it with a new one is that likely just to blow as well, or is it more likely just a control module issue and replacing it will most likely resolve the problem? (also bear in mind the click sound I had).
Any experience/advice on this? Its about 5-6 years old I think.
Thanks!
