Re: Miele "AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENING FAULT"

For those interested. I split the door in two to get to the micro switch on the door release catch (Mine is an integrated dishwasher with decor door). I checked the microswitch with a meter and all checked out ok.

Looking deeper I traced the fault to the ‘door ratchet push’ by replacing it with a used one that I luckily picked up as a spare along while ago.

The part number for this part was 06715062 now superseded to 06715063 they call it a Electro-Mechanical Lock current Miele price is £132.50 + vat and £6.00 delivery. Part is also held in stock.

I have also attached to this post a pdf of the circuit diagram that I found in the door FYI. (sorry its not a great image I had to compress it due to the forum limit of 256kb

    Regards

    Steve 😀

Re: Miele W865 Washing Machine Soak/Pre-Wash light is flashi

I found the problem… It was the hose to the pressure switch blocked with old washing powder. Removed, cleaned the hoses to the drum and fluff drain and now all appears to be ok…

    I hope this helps someone.

I have now got the board back it appears the relay was replaced with an RS components equivalent and possible the PSU on the board was changed.

Put it in and ha presto it works!

The old cow is now very happy and has promised to reward me!

    Thanks Lads

    See ya

    Thanks Dave,

I found a company called QER who say they can repair these boards for around £54.00. I think its got to be worth a go. Any body used these people before?

I have just got a price from Smeg for a controller just in case because I think I am going to need one. Talk about a lot of dosh!

Any suggestions where else to try? I have tried EMW but they don’t do Smeg stuff?

Re: Smeg DW167 not heating error E3

Hi lads, I am back again!

I have the thermostat from the door in my hand. It appears to be a thermister as apposed to a thermostat. I am getting 20 ohms before I heat it up and 2.9 ohms heated. Any one any ideas if these are the correct reading?

Steve, if you don’t know what a thermostat looks like or how to identify one then I would really suggest you call an engineer.

    Dave.

I got no problem identifying what a thermostat may look like, I was just hoping someone would say roughly where it is on the door i.e. on the controller PCB or close by etc.

Thermostats come in a variety of shapes, sizes and disguises but no problem I will find it.

    Thanks

Simon46 wrote:Sorry I meant the PCB/timer. It is one complete unit with display. I meter checked all components related to heating circuit and then by default PCB/timer was the only part left.

When you said you checked all components I guess that was the heater element and the stat?

    Or have a missed something?

Where is the best place or where did you get your PCB?

    Hi Simon,

I haven’t looked at the controller end yet.

I assumed there was just one PCB. Are there modules plugged in to it then?

How did you determine your module was stuffed?

    K, Thanks for your reply

I would like to try to find the circuit for the Stat, I need to convince myself it is definitely ok before I move on to the PCB controller!

Any idea’s where I might get one?

Also do you know a rough budget price for a controller?

I bet they are shed loads of money!

Just to throw in another question is there anyone around who can repair faulty controllers?
