Hi Kwatt & Don
Happy New Year!
Since posting I’ve been all over the place to look at Liebherr fridge freezers wherever they were show- roomed
This may sound like a daft question but is the ‘order of magnitude better’ hidden in the build of the unit? We were at least impressed by the glass door shelves and steel chromium rails but are the mechanics built to a higher spec than all other fridge freezers ( probably with the exception of Miele )
cheers

Thanks both to Kwatt, once again and also to Don who I’m presuming was going to say the same thing?

Hello K.
Can I please confirm that I’m using this forum correctly? When I post / have posted a question, I notice that many people view it but all replies have come from just you If anyone else had any comments, would I be able to see them in the same way as yours?By the way, my wife is now considering Bosch as Liebherr is a bit beyond our budget but it is a German machine! We are beginning to wonder whether Hotpoint / Indesit / Creda, although popular, Might not be as problem free as we thought in terms of quietness. I think you said Beko might have been a tiny cut above Hotpoint ( although still bottom end ) and we’ve still to consider Electrolux group and what about Hoover, are they a part of a wider group too?

Hi K
Thank you again…
Just been talking to a friend more technical than me and he mentioned fridge freezers may only have one motor which serves both fridge and freezer, so if motor breaks you’ve got nothing. Have you heard of a ‘danfoss’ twin motor?

Thank you kwatt.
Well pleased that I found this site. I hadn’t noticed ‘Essentials’ in respect of fridge Freezers whilst in Currys or is this for smaller electrical items? May I ask if you consider the cheap end about £250 / £300 and the more expensive end £500 plus?
Thank you for all your assistancestephen37

Hi everyone,
I forgot to say a 600mm width fridge freezer is essential and I meant cubic nett litreage when I said 235 / 93.Glad I found this forum because I now know that Kenwoods don’t make the Fridge freezer and are only distributed through Curry /PC world.
I like Hotpoint but learn’t it could be made by Creda or Indesit. Is that a bad thing though? Samsung are quite expensive but are they much better?
