    I will see what the engineer finds. It does appear to be a machine issue, not the numpty who installed it (me!), so it is a warranty job.

    I will post the engineers findings.

    I guess I will have to call the engineer, and submit a negative report to Which, who rate this machine in the top five best buys.
    I would be very disappointed if it has blocked during the very first time a wash/dry cycle was used.
    It pumps ok in the spin cycle, it is only when it starts to run the drier part of the cycle that the problem occurs.

    My last machine was a 6 year old Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine and a matching condenser drier. I cant remember the number, but it was 1000 spin speed
