Good tip, thanks. There is a notch at the terminal end of the tube that engages with a small key in the housing. I therefore started in this configuration but later noticed an arrow printed on the side of the heater which I took to indicate direction of flow. As it was pointing back towards the sump, I reversed the heater and rotated it so that the wiring was in a good arrangement. Anyway, right or wrong it’s done and reinstalled now! It passed the system test and washes well.

OK, so the heating element has arrived. It is missing the sealing ring (no problem, can use old one) and instructions. Although it’s pretty obvious how it goes together so no great dramas, does it matter which way round the element goes? IE: should the terminal block on the heating element be at the end closest to the pump or otherwise? I’m guessing it doesn’t matter much, but want to get it spot-on as per the book. Cheers.

Thanks, Dave. Heating element ordered. I have decided to run with my old motor as there is nothing wrong with it that I can see, other than its age. Cheers, Mark.
