ParticipantRe: Neff 1420 fan problems
Thank you for the help i put it all back together last night and checked operation at each stage. Tha fan did not work at final stage with large cowling on. I am resigned to ordering a new fan and fitting that.

Greg,
The E No is 1420KOGB or another number on the model plate is FD 7701
Just traced wiring at lunchtime and thethe supply live and nuetral get to the fan terminals via the oven switch assy and a block (about 10mm square that is short circuit) . Although the live side has to come through the programmer board. As the element comes on can I assume that the supply is getting to the oven switch. If it is then I am puzzled why it does not run the fan 😕

I have measured the resistance across the motor and have 92 Ohms.
Thank you for the advice, I am a fully qualified electrical engineer (HNC) so I am aware of the dangers of live testing.
The fan turns ok by hand and makes no unusual noises
I just need to know if there is a fuse or thermal trip in line with the fan motor that I can locate and check. If there is nothing else in line then could the problem be in the selector switch. I do not want to spend £65 on a fan and find it does not do the job.
I appreciate the helpstinky

The circular element around the fan seems to be OK as I can see the element glowing red.
I have not left it on for any length of time to see if the oven gets hot. When I power the fan up with 240 volts on a bench it runs OK
