    Re: Whirlpool AWZ650 Tumble Dryer

Is it an expensive fix? And is it a complicated job?

To start the drum was very stiff at first to turn, but then turned by hand really light now. As if there is nothing there. I don’t rememeber it bing so easy to tuen.

It doesn’t make any noise at all.. Any eerie silence in fact.

Is my machine destined for the scrap? 😕

The other half has been looking at the machine, and thinks that the belt at the back looks a little loose. Also tested it again yesterday, and the the motor works, but the drum in now not going around.

Don’t want to give up and get my Miele just yet….

    Any thoughts????

    Hi Greg

Thanks….I wonder whether there are any ‘natural’ things to put into the washing machine rather than washing power. I heard soda crystals were an alternative? Has anyone tried this?

A minor success, managed to open the filter, to find to our amazement £2.50, and Alan Key, a hair bobble and a collar stiftener.

Nothing else there….so tried a spin cycle again.

It seems to be more off a thudding once the spin gets going, then gets quite violent…

I could usually spin the drum without too much effort by hand when it was empty, but now it feels like it is tight or caught.

I’m too scared to use it at the moment! 😕
