ParticipantThanks for the reply and good to hear it’s going ok – my WDA101 is still like new to be honest, now 8 years old but has probably done 15 years in terms of what Miele class as lifetime hours!

ParticipantThanks Dave… I did enquire about glass a while back as there is a slight chip and it’s over a grand – I love Miele stuff but that’s bonkers!
Thanks also for the advice / warning – I was thinking there would be some residual capacitance.

ParticipantThanks for posting this – useful info as I have the same machine which is 5 1/2 years old but due to children has probably done over 10 years service in terms of what Miele expect – wash cycles / hours in use.
It’s not missed a beat yet but it would be good to acquire a service manual for when the times comes if anyone had a link or a PDF they can send me?
Slightly disappointing that they did not repair it but obviously tried to and found another fault, I wonder if the motor failing in turn blew something on the PCB?
Shame it was only 4 years old too but I also guess Miele parts cost are high and this is a relatively cheap machine – mine was under £440 delivered
Just wanted to know for reference, did the engineer work for Miele direct and did he have the motor with him on the first visit?
Glad you got a good outcome anyway!

ParticipantRe: Beko wmc6120w Leaking
Thanks for that, it’s clean water so looks like the solenoid valve…
I ordered one using the model number and it looks the same but the electrical connections are different – the one I bought has 4 large spade connectors and the one on the machine uses 2 much smaller plugs – It didn’t say I needed to modify anything so assume the part is incorrect??

ParticipantRe: Bosch Double Oven Cooling Fan not switching off
Thanks for that Martin, I don’t suppose you have a link to the part do you or a service manual for that model / or how to get to it…
I’ve serviced Bosch washing machines and dishwashlers before but not a double oven,

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFF2001 Broken RHS Drum Spring
Davew, cheers for the reply… well I did and they weren’t leaking but then I had nothing to compare them with… any way of testing or how should they behave? when compressed it (very) slowly moved back out again but I didn’t have to use much force…

ParticipantRe: Bosch SGS43C02GB/43. Not heating
Samjmann, not sure if you’ll get this message but this machine was subject to a recall last year and you’re entitles to a brand new control panel / board fitted FOC by Bosch – just contact customer services with the machine details to do this.

ParticipantRe: Noisey Bosch Frost Free Fridge-freezer
Yeah, it is very good… I don’t think it’s that sort of noise but worth checking anyway, just wanted a few opinions before pulling it out…
It’s a sort of wurring noise like a fan or bearing (not high pitch or droning) and seems to be there when (i think) the compressor is running.

ParticipantRe: Knocking sound at low RPM from Bosch Logixx 1400 Express
Hmmm – cheers Holden, I was fairly sure the noise is coming from the bottom ie the shocks but it’s worth a try…
Just looked at the microfische and that part is 1p each from Bosch but it says ‘not fitted to this appliance’ – worth a try me thinks, will order some tomorrow!

Therefore earplugs are a cheaper more effective solution I reckon.
Martin, could you ring my mum and tell her that 😆
