    Thanks to all on this trail – today fixed my W866 showing the exact same symptoms of flashing rinses light after overloading it and hearing a louder than normal bang as it tried to spin

    Note to self – those banging noises for the last 5+ years are not normal & new shocks were in fact needed before the board blew – £20 for a compatible pair or £90 for real Miele – personally on a 15+ year old machine compatible is OK

    The RS part numbers listed above are still valid – and in fact actually say that people ordering the fuse generally also purchase the relay …..

    Board fix took maybe 20 mins – but note that you will need a solder sucker ( be careful how you Google that ) and a decent fine point iron – but again it is only £14 for a kit of new ones from Amazon if you don’t have them
