ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP 8352 flooding – long story..!
Well it seems this dishwasher is a goner…
I am told it could also be a motor failure with water leaking out through the motor seals, and have been quoted up to around £150 for repairs so its getting binned.
Howdens (where I got the kitchen from) have offered me a Beko slimline dishwasher as a replacement, no idea what model and whether Beko any good, £199 +VAT.
Any horror stories about Beko dishwashers ? Guess you pay your money and take your chance !
Only thought is whether anyone has any comments on using powder compared to tablets and whather this has an impact on the life of these small budget dishwashers ?
Cheers

ParticipantRe: Hoover 1300 Special Edition PE235 drain pump siezed ?
Thanks again,
The machine is just over 5 years old unfortunately so probably not covered now.
I could change the board and pump myself but verging on easier buying new machine I should imagine ?
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply.
Since my post I have stripped out the pump and the impeller is definitely binding but there are no objects jamming it. I would have thought such a pump would be free to turn over at all times ?
The pump appears to have slight surface rust but nothing suggesting a heavy leak from above.

I did notice two other things:-
Drum spring binding on drain hose

Burning at PCB next to programmer (no evidence of water)

Does this mean a new control board also ?! 🙁
Thanks
