    Decided to go with the w288eco in the end, placed my order yesterday, was contacted last night to arrange delivery for Monday. Thanks for your help in this decision.

    Nuts… that’s disappointing 🙁 . It’s not only when in use that I need it, as the little one likes to push buttons even when it’s off. The LG I am replacing has a lock where you push 2 buttons for a couple seconds and it locks out all the controls, whether the machine is in use or not.

    I found something referred to as the “KidLock Anti-Child system” on this page for the w288eco:

    Is this what I am after, and does this mean I would be looking at a few hundred more £££ to get it?

    I guess the ultimate child-lock is the mains switch. And of course we are “educating” the little one to NOT push the buttons… but there’s only so much you can expect from an 18 month old that loves buttons!
