Hi

No the original was perfect & the dispenser opened OK, just by pushing the blue tab. This does not happen during the wash cycle where it remains closed.

The latch does only rotate a few degrees (about 30) & makes a few clicking sounds as if something underneath is being moved.

I replaced the spring, but no difference. The drawer is still not opening.

The latch (this does seem to produce some clicking noises when it is rotated) though appears to be quite tight – can it be pulled out from the spring end. Do I need to use a screwdriver to lever it out. Or does it need the front panel removing???

Looks like I’ll have to go the square way. BTW it’s the chimney that’s round (20cm diam) with a 90 cm wide hood.
