Re: Whirlpool oven door (inner) – how to replace it?

Excellent Penguin45, just the link I needed.

Managed to get the door off in seconds. I did manage to put it back on again which was admittedly more difficult and took me several goes.

Turns out I will need to buy some of the glue you mentioned in a previous post too to join the new inner door to the outer door as I had thought that was only held by screws.

Anyway, I’m getting there slowly but surely.

    Thanks again,
    T

thanks for getting back to me.

I ‘think’ I have now lifted up the clips you mention but they don’t seem to have done much. Do you think the hinge is attached to the door or to the oven?

I am afraid to use to much force, should it just slide out? or do I need to ‘lift & pull’ or wiggle it about a bit?

I dont seem to be getting anywhere fast with this 🙁

    Re: Hotpoint Ultima WF865: F-02

    Hi,

Just an update. Engineer looked at the machine yesterday and couldnt find anything wrong with the machine. No broken parts, motor fine etc. He thought that perhaps there was a wiring problem so he checked all that. It was an intermittent problem.

We’ll just keep a close watch over it.

Good news was it didnt cost a penny as the machine was bought from John Lewis & had a 2 year guarantee which runs out next month 🙂

    Bye for now

Thanks iadom for getting back to me.

Dont worry I’m not a tinkerer and wont meddle in things I dont know about, so I wont be going inside 😉

By the time I got home last night, my wife had managed to get machine to spin & empty (the buttons on the front eventually worked).

I’ll check out your link (I live in Watford) otherwise I’ll make use of the 5 years parts guarantee. On that subject should I only have to pay for the Hotpoint engineer callout? ie £90 or so?

    Thanks again,
    T
