Re: Bosch WAE 24364GB 1200 spin Programme fault?

Martin..The Bosch Engineer is booked to visit us on Friday 6th June,as he hasnt been able to fix the problem we have with our machine. You mentioned in your last reply that he should have checked the motor for earth leakage as an earth leak on either the motor or heater could affect the fuzzy logic chip.We live in a modern house which is 20 years old and has a modern RCB circuit breaker.Whilst using this Bosch Machine the RCB has never tripped, does this mean that there could still be an earth leakage, but not enough to trip the RCB?Iff a faultis found would this mean that either/or both the Heater and Motor would have to be replaced? Sorry for asking again, but need to have my facts right before the Engineer calls!Reply Appreciated and thanks for your help Michael

Re: Bosch WAE 24364GB 1200 spin Programme fault?

Thanks Martin,I have spoken to Customer Service at Domestic and General and asked them to log my concerns about the two previous Bosch attempts to fix my washing machine, and the fact that that the machine wasn’t pulled out from under the work surface and inspected thoroughly ie to include checking the motor and heater for earth leakage. They have suggested that before we get Bosch involved again, my wife runs the Wash Plus programme at 60 degrees .We have agreed to do this and get back to them with our findings.I must say that Domestic and General have been more helpful than Bosch! Michael..PS I will come back to the forum to report on the outcome.

Martin..I dont know whether he checked for an earth leak from the motor all I know is that he didnt pull out the machine, from under the worksurface he just unclipped the control panel. He has been back and replaced another circuit board[smaller one of the two]and told my wife to try all the programmes? The machine has had very light use as its “a second machine” we have a more modern beko machine as well and my wife tends to use this most times and only uses both when shee is washing sheets etc She is quite fasidious with both and makes sure the drawers are clean,as well as the sump plugs on both machines We also live in a soft water area so scaling up isnt a problem. The drains were checked.

Re: Bosch WAE 24364GB 1200 spin Programme fault?

I understand that the machine uses fuzzy logic and as you say this can reduce the programme duration accordingly. However we have had the Machine for 5 years and the programme duration shortening hasn’t happened before like this ie 1hr lost in 2hrs?..the programme in question is the 2hr+ Cotton wash plus set at 60 degrees The machine is not washing correctly as the washing is very creased on completion.Sorry for delay in replying Martin Cheers Michael
