Re: help please… is my pump faulty

Brilliant – job done. thank you taffska.
I took out the old thermistor from the broken water heater element I changed a while back, plugged it in to the socket of the dryer ntc thermistor – it doesn’t fit in the manifold but I taped it to the outside and the washer works fine – pump works , everything except the dryer which will work when i get hold of a new dryer thermistor. Thank you for all your help everyone who contributed – this forum saved me some serious £££…

The wiring in the dry heater – I would never have imagined that it could affect the drain pump. It just so happens that when I took the machine out I found the NTC sensor from the dry manifold on the floor completely disintegrated. I was going to change it anyway but only when I could figure out if the machine will work. Didn’t think the dryer would have anything to do with the wash cycle. Maybe the whole thing will work fixing that. Will get onto it. Thank you.
I live in a soft water area. I’m against these insurance policies – it doesn’t take long before you pay the value of the whole machine. Rather give it a go fixing it or buy a new machine – works out cheaper in the long run I think.

Re: help please… is my pump faulty

I haven’t connected the pump alone – rather get hold of some spade connectors to make it safer rather than play around with bare wires.. I did try to connect it to the dryer blower which has the same connection but I didn’t wait long enough in the cycle to see it work. I will see what I can do. If pump is ok then whether to get new pcb or new machine. I’ve only just fitted a new heating element and now this. I understand the circuit board is not something so easy to fit – not plug and play as it were. Annoying expenses…
