Thanks again for the advice Dave,

The draining speed seems ok, and I’m now pretty sure the problem lies with the control board. It’s taken to missing out whole sections, so a 3.5 hour cycle is taking 1.5 hours.

I’d like to replace it, but the best price I’ve seen for a board is £170, plus about the same for a drum unit (apparently you can’t replace the bearing on it’s own!) so I think it is new machine time.

I’m thinking of one of the Samsung smart washers. Have you had any experience of them?

    Cheers
    Dave

    Thanks Dave,

I’m afraid so, it’s as clean as a whistle.

We do check it regularly and never use the drier function. When it empties during the cycle there appears to be good flow, so I don’t think there is blockage.

Just to confuse things, I just did a load and it appears to have worked perfectly.

    Cheers
    Dave
