Re: Drain Pump Slow Speed ?

    Penguin 45, Thanks
1400 RPM its not going that fast i’m sure

Is it possible that a pump would slow down ?
    Deteriation of windings !

Or do they usually just fail ?

    Update
    Drain pump and hose refitted

When switched on, light 4 on and 5 is flashing E8 Error alternate valve issue
E6 error previuosly now removed following manual draining of machine base

Question, is the alternating valve the solenoid with small bore rubber hose going to and from it ?
    Can it be tested ?

    Thinking of scrapping it now

Took drain hose off totally, and its clear
Also removed drain pump and tested runs ok not very fast, suppose thats normal ?

    Any more suggestions ?

    Thanks for your reply

    Will check tonight

Can you describe where the float switch is, QER mentioned that may be worth looking at also

    Gozaradio
thanks for the feedback and pleased to here your machine is up and running, i myself received a tel call from QER today, said PCB was ok but several components were not within the allowable working spec, not sure what that meant, however new components fitted and satisfactorily tested as OK.
£41.23 paid and PCB will be back with me shortly, we shall see if it sorts my problem

GOZARADIO, Did you manage to sort your problem, as i would be interested to know what the solution was.

Even if mine does beep and pulse the drain pump, but lights 4 + 5 are permanently lit.

Just about to send PCB to QER for test / repair

Re: Smeg DWI612C Possible PCB fault

I have read this post with great interest as i am in the same dilemma,
see my previuos post lights 4 + 5 on, and pulsing drain pump, cannot reset.

Have had a good look at the PCB, can see no visible burnt tracks etc, and i am wondering about replacing the Dishwasher or sending the PCB to QER.

What do you think my course of action should now be ?

    Re: Smeg DWI16 12C Lights 4 & 5 on

OK thanks for the reply, whenever it has finished a wash cycle before it has never displayed lights 4+5.

So could it be a stuck closed door switch, leaving it in a mode that cannot be reset ?

PS when the door is closed a pump momentarily starts then stops and this keeps repeating, does this help with any diagnosis ?

    Thanks
