ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZX97/5Si How to get to the evaporator part
Thanks Seamy!
I presume the circuit boards are located behind the panel where all the electrical connectors for the thermistor etc are?
How to I get to them if the circuit board for controlling defrost cycle is identified to be the culprit?VKing

Thanks a lot for that input captaincaveman1. It means greatly to my decision making.
Last time I had the FF defrosted fully and allowed it to operate without any testing and it’s work fine. However the warning lights are all flashing together indicating a major fault. Since there isn’t a circuit board in this model, it means there isnt any excessively expensive parts to replace. So I ‘shall carry on diagnosing its problem and hopefully repairing it instead of buying a new one which will mean more potential pollution to the environment.
Please more input in helping me to resolve the problem! Much obliged!VKing

Thanks Seamy for your reply! I was just beginning to give up on hoping to see a help reply.
The thing is if it’s a circuit board problem, is it worth repairing? As I understand it, the circuit board costs hundred odd pounds. It’ll be good two hundred plus pounds to get it repaired. That’s why I want to identify the problem (I have background knowledge to do so)myself first before doing anything.
Since my posting, I have managed to get to the parts and waiting for the freezer to defrost.
Anymore advice will be most appreciated! -
