This is a known fault. To clarify, if you remove the module unit completly
(power off of course and unplugged) the casin will split in two.
Remove relay board from casing and remake burnt pin connection on heater relay; job doneGreg
Thanks for this post this was exactly what was wrong with our dishwasher, it took less than and hour to fix.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem, I just wanted to confirm that it was the control panel. It was covered under the extended warranty which has paid for itself as the repair cost was £192. (The part was £82 plus vat).

I have the same problem with the same model. I purchased my f/f in August 2006 so it’s just outside of the manufacturers warranty but having been caught out with my previous one I bought a JL extended warranty, here’s hoping that it will be covered.

ParticipantRe: Would you buy a GE?
Thank you for your reply, my kitchen is two years old and I have a gap for a side by side (max 100cms) so I would like to stick with a side by side.
I am now looking at the Admiral GC2224GEKW which is in the same price bracket as the GE.

Still trying to get my freezer fixed, I have been away for four days and one freezer pack midway down the door has frozen but no others.
Has anyone experienced anything similar on any other freezers?
Thanks
