Re: Miele GT315ES Freezer beeping and flashing

This turned out to be a fault in the electronic control board, I found this http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=140715 on the web which gave some clues. Also noted that if it was above temp (eg -12) all was well, the beeping and flashing lights problem only arose when it hit -18. I decided that replacing the capacitors was a bit beyond my capabilities – if it had gone wrong then there was no way back. So I ordered a new board from Miele which arrived next day, was duly fitted and I now have a nice quiet freezer and saved myself the call out charge and it was much quicker than waiting for the engineer to visit.

Thank you for your replies. I’ve put a thermometer in and it’s reading -18 and it’s freezing fresh food quickly.

The serial number is 57754617 and the model is GT315ES

I can’t see/hear a sequence to the beeps, they are just: beep slight pause beep slight pause beep slight pause beep. It doesn’t beep all the time, sometimes it beeps all day and other days it just beeps for a few hours. Fortunately it’s in a utility room so we don’t have to listen to it all day long. The motor seems to kick in regardless of whether it is beeping or not.
