Thanks for all your support, I have had the machine apart and replaced the bearings, the inner one had completly disintergrated. So much so that once the repament had been installed it was no longer a tight fit.

Put the whole machine back together and run it on a test wash but it still seemed to rubblem and knock on a spin so i guess it’s time for a replacement.

Looking at the hotpoint wt960.

Thats ok then, i’ll assigned Thursday for this task, i’ll see how i get on. Thanks for all the responces.

If the outer drum is broke then i have nothing to lose.

Ah, so if it isn’t the bearings that have gone what other parts may i need. i guess i’ll find out when i get the drum out.

I wasn’t expecting a blow by blow account, but any pointers to easy extraction of the drum for example.
