Sorry, should have said, I’ve replaced the plug and checked the wall socket with another appliance.

With the plug replaced, I can trace power to the contacts at the rear of the program selector dial, but don’t know how/where to test beyond that to confirm if the board is dead

This house has been seriously DIY bodged by previous owners (we’re putting it right as we go), so it would not have been beyond the realms of possibilty that the socket had gone as well as the plug – but alas, it appears to be the Bosch.
