    I have recently taken about 30 pence in not-so-small change from the tub drainer, do you think this might have been making the water level artificially high?

    In the mean time I’ll see what the results look like with some average loads.

    Thanks for the interest.

    This isn’t a new machine and I am pretty sure that the water level was much higher previously. On an empty cycle there is about 2cm to 3cm of water visible in the drum, this is barely enough to wet a small wash load, so to answer the question this is about 4 cm below the door seal. Other online troubleshooting articles I have read say check the water pressure, I’ve not not been able to do that but the machine hasn’t been relocated, and then check the inlet valves, which I have replaced. The next suggested steps are to replace the pressure switch and or control board, what do you think?
