ParticipantSorry I had written the above post before I saw your answer thank you so much you’re very kind, would my machine have the older pressure switches or the newer it’s a 2003 model

ParticipantOk, sorry this is going to be a bit long in the tooth, I’m going to bore you regarding the background of this machine which may be helpful or not. About four years ago I was doing a normal 50° wash seem to take forever I went into the kitchen and the glass was boiling I opened the door and boiling water Or extremely hot water rushed out ,at the time didn’t take much notice but thought the wash was extra long and way too hot , and the washes on the previous days weeks and months seem’d fine. Looking back now in retrospect I think all of the washing after that episode was done on Coldwater can’t be exactly sure of this because everything seemed okay even the washing was clean enough . Then my landlord fitted a new fuse box I know they’re called something different now, The next day after it was fitted I put my machine on as normal and it blew the fuse box tried lots of things unplugging , not using for 24 hours nothing worked . Then I did what everyone does Google not much information and I was a bit worried, I found an appliance engineer and he told me how to bypass the heater on the washer part which I did . This enabled me to continue using it as a washer and a dryer the dryer works perfectly but was very little used mostly just washing . The machine was moved in and out a lot and I think at this time not exactly sure the damage that I see on one of the two tubing to the pressure switch happened because it then began to overfill all the time

ParticipantI thought as much ,is there any other way to test to rule out anything else. In the previous post above regarding pressure switches and the damage I found on one of them ,the tubing I’m talking about ,One of the tubes was gouged quite badly would this be the problem or the actual pressure switches themselves ,I do have a small multimeter . Any advice at all before I buy to pressure switches would be very helpful thank you in advance

ParticipantHello again Dave still no luck with my washer dryer everywhere seems clear no blockages, the problem seems to be when there is a large amount of water in machine . When the water level is lower or I put in some wet clothing on a spin cycle that works fine. I have been attempting the diagnostic codes not really sure how it works but there is an E 34 error coming up , any ideas what this means or where it might lead. Thanks for all your help

Participantso you must mean the one connected to the pressure chamber ?
Wishywashy62
ParticipantHi thanks for responding is that the one connected to the back of the detergent dispenser ?
Wishywashy62
ParticipantSorry forgot to mention outlet hose seems completely clear, thank you in advance

ParticipantHi , hi I removed both pressure switches and blew down them sorry not them the tubes and all seemed clear but when I remove the covering the sleeve one of the tubes is quite badly gouged, could I possibly cover the damaged one with lots of electrical tape just to test if that is the problem as both seem to have the same amount of air coming out when I blew down them ??

ParticipantThanks for all your help Dave ,much appreciated , Will try that tomorrow 🙂

ParticipantHow Do I access the drain pump and is it a big job
Wishywashy62
ParticipantYes, but II think it only drains at a certain level, actually that’s not true I know it’s only drains at a certain level because I filled it for a wash and it kept filling so I switched off and the only way I could drain was by skipping to the drain function but I had to do that several times to eventually drain completely.
then I put some wet clothes in and skip to drain and spin that works okay, I’m completely perplexedWishywashy62
ParticipantHello again managed to clean out the condenser reattach and the pressure chamber there was no dirt in the chamber, I seem to have extra problems now , Possibly pressure switches. Just a question the dryer cycle performs all the the motor actions as in tumble and reverse but there is water at the bottom of the machine and the clothes are obviously soaking wet and cold. I observed the machine with the back and lid off in action
1) no heat and nothing getting warm
2) The condenser had watering not sure if it was too much or too little
3) should the fan spin no action there at allWishywashy62
Participantdave hello again, hope I can draw on your experience again.
I got to the last part. You suggested and removed the plastic ducting but the problem now is the fan seems to be connected tightly to the middle Metal bar or structure holding the machine together, I have removed some screws from the fan but there is a part that has no screws that seems to be connected to the Metal structure. I also have an overtight bolt with Limited access. Hope this makes some sense to you the part I’m referring to is number 18 on my original diagram which I need to lift up to remove the plastic bottle thing underneath which is blocked
well when I say plastic ducting I’m referring to part 100 which I removed and pivoted, sorry about the confusionWishywashy62
ParticipantOkay this is all very new to me, is it possible you gave the wrong number item can’t find The number 100 anywhere it doesn’t seem to be that number on any of the diagrams. The diagram I posted is the dryer diagram, I also checked The hydraulic diagram, the electrical diagram still can’t find number 100 anywhere .
just to say I’m quite new at this sort of thing but very eager to learn, i’m sure it’s going to be a slow process for me so hope you will all bear with me thanks again -
