    Hey Electrofix.. tnx for posting.
Dont worry the issue was fixed with help from Martin. It was a flooded baseplate. The other thread is here

No idea what you are on about – sorry. 🙁

You have removed the 4 retaining screws, it will lift away with little or minimal force. The top of the plastic panel can be eased by slotting a flat bladed knife in between the front panel and the kick panel to making it easier. Otherwise just yank the darn thing away…!

Opened… You area a top dog..

The baseplate was flooded… So have just wiped it off, will leave it overnight to dry out.
    Question>>
    1) how does the water get there in the first place?
    2) will it be all fine once it has dried off?
    3) is there something I can do to prevent it happening again?

No force required, ease it at the top using a flat blade if that helps, not an issue usually.

Sorry for being pedantic, not sure how I can ease it from the top, I don’t have any opening to put a flat head, unless I move it out and then perhaps used the sides to put a flathead..

    Hey Martin,
Thanx for that.. I am still not clear on what is expected to be done. Attached is a pic of the the bottom plate. I took off the four screws (circled) and have also unclipped the notch. However the bottom plate refuses to come out. It looks as if it is catching on the top. I dont want to put more pressure on it – lest it snaps.

This is exactly the problem I am facing. I have drained the drum via the usual drain hose. Opened the drum using the emergency release and I cant find any water inside.
What is the bottom panel and baseplate being referred to. I have found 4 screws on the bottom panel (but they dont seem to release the bottom panel) Not sure what I am missing.
