I have taken the plastic brush housing out of the end frame, just unscrew the screws. You are right, the brush and wires were soldered on the housing. I have examine the brushes, the length of one was okay, the another was a little short so that the spring push was out of reach, looks like that is the cause of motor stop working. I don’t have anything to solder the new brush, so what I did was add a 1cm long carbon to assist the spring. After put everything back, my machine now is back to act as before. Hi Martin
I have followed your suggestion and open the motor. I found that the brushes were fixed onto the plastic holder which were screwed on the metal end part. So the brushes are not replaceable, unless replace the whole plastic holder. Any suggestion to buy such thing? Many thanks for reading my post.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am going to follow your suggestion to replace the brushes. I have already bought a pair but not sure if they are the correct ones, but I will dissemble it anyway to find out, if not I will try buy another pair.
