Kenwood’s famous food processor has been awarded the status of Icon by Progressive Housewares Magazine, it has emerged.
The publication’s annual Excellence in Housewares Awards, which recognises innovation and performance in the industry, unveiled the Kenwood Chef as the winner of this years Icon Award.
Having sold over 15 million of the appliances, Kenwood counts the Chef as one of its most popular products since the manufacturer’s establishment in 1947.
Commenting on the accolade, Penny Jones, Kenwood’s UK and Ireland trade marketing manager said that the company was “delighted” with the accolade.
“It is an honour to receive such a prestigious award for a product which has been at the forefront of our success and heritage for over 50 years,” she said.
However, the Kenwood Chef has also been greatly improved over the years and is available in Classic, Premier and Titanium editions.
Among the other winners on the night was the Siemens/Beam Nespresso Machine which won the Plugged-In award.
