A new microwave oven that makes use of an innovative door design has been subject to a new review.
According to Consumer Reports the new LG LMVM2277 has an unusual design that allows users to open the door upward and that this gives better access to the contents of the oven.
It is also noted that the microwave offers “strong cooking performance” and that the “EasyUp Door” is thought to be the first of its kind.
The LMVM2277 is said to have a capacity of 2.2 cubic feet and offers ten power levels, two halogen lights, seven sensor-cook menus and what the manufacturers claim is a ventilation system that operates at 470-cubic-feet-per-minute.
However, the site does add that the volume and cooking quality is hampered by a front window which does not always give good visibility while things are cooking.
Last month Consumer Reports cited LG’s LMV2053 microwave oven as a “Best Buy” for consumers.
