Liebherr, the manufacturer of high-end refrigeration products, has won a “PLUS X Award” for outstanding achievements in innovation, design, ease of use and protection of the environment, the company announced.
The company was selected as the most innovative brand of 2007 in the competition’s large appliance product category, said the Germany-based Liebherr, whose North American headquarters is located in Burlington, Ontario. The jury was comprised of 19 well-known journalists and design and engineering experts.
The company was also honored for its WS 14300 wine cabinet, introduced to the U.S. market at this year’s Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, Liebherr said.
The “PLUS X Award” is considered Europe’s top honor in the field of technological innovation, Liebherr officials noted.
