Liebherr have announced that they are to end their long standing relationship with Coolectric, a division of Waterline and that they are set to market products sold under the Liebherr brand themselves from early next year.
The press release, which is so far about as much information as we have had, is as follows:
“Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH, responsible for the Liebherr Group’s domestic appliances division, has announced that it is to establish its own organisation in the UK, providing sales and service of Liebherr refrigerators and freezers in the future.
The company stated: “Liebherr has come to an arrangement with the current importer, Coolectric Ltd, whereby its business activities relating to Liebherr will cease. We would like to thank Coolectric for their contribution over the years.”
From early 2015, Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd, based in Bedfordshire, will assume responsibility for the Liebherr refrigerator and freezer business in the UK. The precise date for the transfer of activities is currently being defined.“
At this time we are unaware of any impact to service and spare part arrangements.

Can anyone at Liebherr be contacted for technical advice, please? We have a problem with our Liebherr fridge which has not been sorted out despite a replacement thermostat being fitted. It’s not use explaining further unless I can contact someone who can give advice.
